Connie, a 64-year-old ALS Patient from USA has been suffering from Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis also known as ALS. After her diagnosis, she did some research online to know more about different treatments. She found Unique Access Medical and came to Bangkok for Cellular Treatment. She has shown significant improvements in her hands and swallowing after receiving the treatment.
What improvements have you seen since starting the Cell Treatment?
Now, I am able to stand up easier. I’ve learned to swallow better without choking and my hands have improved in dexterity.
What can you tell us about the previous treatment you received?
I didn’t really have any treatment previously. I did go for Physical Therapy sessions, which were difficult.
Right before I came here, I did the Deanna Protocol which gives my muscles energy, keeps me from twitching and it helps me a lot. Now I sleep better too and I would recommend it to anybody with ALS. Your body needs it, they will help.
How did you find out about us?
We found it online. We checked out several different ones; some in Mexico, some in other countries but, this program seemed to be the most comprehensive and the most open up. It is a great program. We didn’t find anything in the United States except some clinical trials and it did use Embryonic Cells where they can only treat half of your body, and they can only treat like 18 people at a time so there was no chance to get any of that. They do have some Cell Treatment in the United States but they use it for more specific things.
What can you tell us about the treatments you’ve had with us?
Acupuncture, rTMS, which is an Electronic Brain Stimulation, OT (Occupational Therapy), PT (Physical Therapy), Aqua Therapy, and more. I had 3 Lumbar injections and 2 IV injections.
Have you had any side effects since receiving the treatment?
Well, I had some back and neck pain right after the Lumbar injections but they gave me a pain pill and the pain was gone and it didn’t come back. There aren’t any other side effects at all.
What do you think of the facilities and staff?
They’re awesome. You call and they are there and you don’t have to call them much but once I do call, they’re right there checking your body all the time. Food is delicious. It’s good. They’re just being very helpful. People will clean stuff. They’re there everyday. I’ve never been in a hospital like this before and I’ve never been taken care of in a hospital with such staff or a team. It was good to see it all. They’re obviously really kind. They picked us up at the airport. I was told not to worry about anything. They grabbed the luggage and brought us right here, got us checked in and helped me meet everybody. The next morning, we met everybody, they told me how the treatment process would go.
What advice would you give to other ALS patients?
It’s been a great experience. I know I spent some time doing research on the internet about the program and stuff but I think it was wasting time. I suggest that once you’re diagnosed, you should contact Unique Access Medical and get ready to come here. Excellent facilities and everything works very well. If compared to two weeks in a hospital in the United States, it’s not that expensive. It is expensive but not that much. I think it’s all worth it.
